Who we are
Beijing Chinese Take Away ("we", "us") is a family-run Chinese takeaway based at 1 Greenstead Road, Colchester CO1 2SX. We are the data controller for the personal information you give us when you place an order or contact the restaurant.
What we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, phone number, email address (if provided), delivery address and delivery notes, the items in your order, and the payment confirmation reference returned by our payment processor. For deliveries we also temporarily store the driver's GPS location while your order is on the way so the live tracker works.
Why we use it
We use your information to prepare and deliver your order, to call you if there is a problem with the order, to show you the live tracker page, and to keep records required by tax and food-safety law. We do not use your details for marketing without your consent.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe holds payment data under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for up to 7 years to meet HMRC requirements. Live driver-location data is deleted shortly after the order is marked delivered.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by phoning 01206 795 600 or emailing the restaurant. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
